Lean Practitioner Course

The course is designed to enable participants to understand and implement Lean concept as Leader of the team. The contents include

Value Stream Mapping (VSM) - Basic Concept, Flow of Material and Information, their significance and relationships, success factors, symbols used, time measurements, Business Criteria and Product * Process Matrix for choosing product or product group, data collection for VSM Analysis, Other realizations during making of VSM (excessive transportation / motion, disordered places, process adherence issues etc.) and Secondary tools to analyze VSM, TT/CT chart and its applications in Kaizen Bursts.
  4. Flow: Definition of 3Ms (Muda, Mura, Muri) with applications, Improving reliability using TPM concepts and SMED.
  5. Pull: Understanding difference between Push & Pull, Production Control Fundamentals, concept of zero inventory, single piece flow, load leveling, heijunka, Kanban and Supermarkets.
  6. Striving for Perfection: Challenging status quo and Designing FSVSM, Improvement loops and VSM improvement plan, standard questions to ask for continual improvement.
